Satsuma

In the recent years the Okitsu variety of Satsuma group has started to be grown in Turkey especially in the Eastern Mediterranean Region. Fruits are quite large and flattened. It is a seedless, easily peeled and sugary type of mandarin. It is a durable type and ripens 3-5 weeks earlier than Owari.
